Absolutely! We welcome students from all faiths. We offer four religion classes: Islam, Protestant Christianity, Catholicism, and Buddhism. Each class is taught by qualified teachers of the respective faith, following an officially recognized and relevant religious curriculum. (Hinduism and Confucianism are provided on a situational basis).
Can our daughter wear a hijab?
Of course she can. Muslim parents and their beloved daughters are warmly welcome to join our school. We uphold the principle of Quality Education for All Children — embracing every student regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or culture. Every child deserves to learn comfortably while expressing their identity and faith with confidence.
What is the main language of instruction?
The primary language used in our teaching activities is Bahasa Indonesia. However, for Mathematics and Science subjects, we apply a bilingual approach (English–Indonesian) in both teaching delivery and learning materials. This approach helps prepare students for global challenges while maintaining a strong connection to their mother tongue.
At what age can our child enroll?
We accept students from ages 3 to 20, covering Early Years, Elementary, Middle, and High School levels. We believe that quality education should begin early and continue through adolescence, helping children grow with a strong foundation and practical skills to thrive in the future.
What is the school's religious foundation?
Our school is not affiliated with any particular religion. We are a national institution that values religious freedom and cultural diversity. Our educational approach promotes inclusivity and respect, without favoring any race, religion, or majority (or minority) group. The learning system integrates three languages — Mandarin, English, and Indonesian — within an open environment that honors each student's unique identity.
Is there a building or development fee when students move up levels (e.g., from Early Years to Elementary, or Elementary to Middle School)?
There are no development or building fees. Transitions between levels are carried out without any additional charges. Students can continue their education smoothly, free from hidden costs. We believe that a child's learning journey should never be burdened by administrative fees — our curriculum is designed to ensure every stage of education remains progressive, continuous, and enjoyable.
What fees do parents need to pay?
The following are the main fee components: Monthly tuition fee — mandatory, paid every month. Uniform fee — paid once upon enrollment, and only again if replacement is needed. Book fee — paid every semester to support the learning process. Admission fee — once every semester (every 6 months). There are no building or development fees. All costs are transparent and flexible according to each child's needs.
Does Sekolah Abadi Mulia (Jade School) have other branches? How is the school's reputation?
Yes, we have several sister schools located in different cities, all sharing the same educational vision: Sekolah Cinta Mulia (Chongmian – Cengkareng), Sekolah Cinta Budaya (Chongwen – Medan), and Sekolah Medan Mulia (Mianzhong – Medan). These schools are part of the same educational network that upholds cultural values, innovation, and high-quality multilingual learning. Our school is well-regarded for its strong reputation in character building, diversity, and future-oriented education.
For the new academic year, should we register now or wait until the national academic calendar is released?
We strongly encourage parents to register as early as possible because: The number of seats per class is limited by system capacity, slots fill up quickly due to high demand, and early registration increases your chance of securing an ideal class placement. Bookings can be made even a year in advance to secure your child’s seat before the new school year begins. Our classes are intentionally kept small, allowing teachers to focus on each student and provide more personalized education. This also helps build stronger social and academic connections for your child’s future.
In three years, I’m planning to enroll my child, currently in Grade 3, at Jade School. Is the Middle School level already available?
No need to wait three more years, Parents. Starting from the 2026/2027 academic year, Jade School will open enrollment for both Middle and High School levels. This means your child can continue studying within the same supportive environment without needing to transfer elsewhere.
My child is 5 years and 10 months old — can they enroll in Grade 1?
In general, the minimum age for Grade 1 enrollment is 6 years old. However, for children aged 5 years and 10 months, we recommend that parents discuss further with our team. Please also consider the child’s readiness in areas such as focus, fine motor skills, and social interaction. You may schedule an appointment with our marketing or academic staff for a readiness observation and personalized guidance according to school policy.
What is the maximum number of students per class?
Class capacity is intentionally limited to keep learning focused and effective: Early Years — up to 25 students per class. Elementary, Middle, and High School — up to 32 students per class. This allows teachers to engage more closely with each student, understand their individual character, and create a truly conducive learning environment. We don’t pack classrooms like concert halls — here, Quality is NOT EQUAL to Quantity. In fact, Quality is FAR GREATER than Quantity, dear Parents.
